Editorial
Our Editorial Process
Five phases, in order:
1 — Brief
The owning editor opens a brief that names the intent, the reader, the niche, and the three things the reader should be able to do after reading.
2 — Field research
Photo evidence from the editor's own garden, room, or paint test. Source verification for any historical or scientific claim. Zone-by-zone notes where applicable.
3 — Draft
Written to voice — grounded, warm, useful first. No hype. No padding. Field-tested claims are marked. Cited claims carry the source.
4 — Review
Editorial review for facts, voice, structure, and link discipline. Affiliate links checked. Disclosures placed.
5 — Publish + monitor
Published with structured data + canonical URL + JSON-LD. Monitored for reader corrections; updated when zone-specific or seasonal data ages.
